Little Brother Eagle / Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre

Little Brother Eagle is a Goshawk that was seriously injured when he flew into the side of Senator Boyer's house. Senator Boyer brought him to the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre where the team got to work right away rehabilitating the Goshawk.

Little Brother Eagle

This young nephew crashed into my house a few weeks ago, his neck looked like it was at a 90% angle and I thought he was dead. He had a flicker of life when I ran out and picked him up. He was soon showing a lively spirit and I had him at the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre within the hour and the experts took over and have been doing a wonderful job with him.

Although he has no broken bones he remains in need of care. He has now been transferred to another facility where he has a large outdoor flying area.

We are hoping he recovers quickly so he can be released back home. I heard his family calling him the other day.

Thank you to the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre for taking care of Little Brother Eagle and for all the other life saving work they do as a volunteer run organization that relies on donations to continue operating. To learn more about them, and support their work, click here.

Here are some photos from my visit to the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre in November.
