Katherine Boyer

Katherine Boyer is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is focused on methods bound to textile arts and the handmade, including fabric manipulation, paper making, woodworking and bead work. Boyer's art and research is entrenched in Metis history, material culture and personal family narratives. Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan (Treaty 4 territory), she has received a BFA from the University of Regina and an MFA from the University of Manitoba. Formative years were spent working at the First Nations University of Canada, Boyer had the opportunity to work extensively with permanent collections, as well as curate and provide public programming.
