While in Saskatchewan, I met with members of the Survivors Circle for Reproductive Justice to discuss the lasting harms of forced and coerced sterilization, and I was honoured to receive a braid of sweetgrass from Debbie Ironbow.

I also spent time with Survivors Circle member Katy Bear, celebrating the recent arrival of her beautiful baby girl.

I was grateful to meet my friend and colleague Arnold Blackstar, who gifted me a beaded medallion from Moosomin First Nation that I will wear proudly in the Senate Chamber.
