Speaking at University of Windsor Faculty of Law
Today I had the honour of being invited to speak with first-year students at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. It was a real privilege to spend time with a cohort that is beginning their legal education with a strong grounding in Indigenous law and perspectives.
These students are especially fortunate to be studying Indigenous Legal Orders in their first year, guided by an outstanding group of professors: Beverley Jacobs, Sylvia McAdam, Jan Mak, David Pitawanakwat, Esentsei Staats-Pangowish, Arlene Dodge, and Tasha Miigis. Their leadership and teaching reflect the deep knowledge, responsibility, and living nature of Indigenous legal traditions.
