Annual Ceremony of Remembrance for Indigenous Veterans

Annual Ceremony of Remembrance for Indigenous Veterans
I was honoured to attend the annual ceremony of remembrance for Indigenous Veterans and lay a wreath at the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument on behalf of the Senate of Canada. This ceremony, delayed because of COVID-19, also marks 20 years since the monument’s installation.
I was also honoured to present the Aboriginal Millennium Medal to two members of the Metis Nation of Ontario’s Veterans Council – Paul Broadbent & Lee Rivet. Thank you to all those who attended, and my enduring gratitude to all those who have served and continue to serve.
